The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has recognised FinTech company Valocity as a Finalist for the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) Global FinTech Awards 2022. Considered by many to be the industry’s Oscars, the Singapore FinTech Festival’s (the largest FinTech festival in the world) Global Fintech Awards, represents the industry’s highest accolade for FinTech innovation.

This year’s awards recognise innovative initiatives that have demonstrated the potential to create new growth opportunities, transform industry practices, promote financial inclusion, and actively integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors as part of their overall business model. The theme for this year’s Awards is “Embracing Digital, Charting the New Normal”.

Valocity is the only Australian firm to make the finalist’s shortlist, competing against 131 truly global change makers representing Europe, the US, Asia, and the Middle East.

Valocity’s shortlisting in these prestigious awards is in recognition of the company’s cloud-based mortgage valuation platform and set of smart digital tools (including mobile Apps) which deliver significant operational efficiency, risk and compliance management and digital customer experiences. This enables the support of sustainable lending practices and first of its kind ESG property data capture. This additional data allows for address validation, property benchmarking, sustainability measurement and seamless digital reporting for the lender.

Regarding this year’s finalists, Ms Wong Wanyi, FinTech Leader of PwC Singapore’s Venture Hub said, “Following a few years of digital acceleration and solution development by industry players amid the global pandemic, we are seeing a new level of maturity and innovation in ESG and payments-related solutions at this year’s FinTech Awards. This marks positive progress in enabling organisations to advance their sustainability and financial inclusion agenda which will in turn unlock new transformation and growth opportunities.”

Coincidentally, this month also marks Valocity celebrating 8 years since first launching its platform in Australasia, where it now provides solutions to over 90% of the New Zealand market. Valocity is now delivering world-class innovation and transformation to the entire property ecosystem, operating in almost 1000 cities globally.

Founder and Global CEO, Carmen Vicelich (pictured) said, “We have always focused on building a world class solution that was scalable for markets like India, and configurable for markets like Australasia where banks are wanting to differentiate, to deliver seamless user journeys for the entire property ecosystem. We are extremely proud to be recognised on the global stage and it is a huge credit to our amazing team of game changers, who create the magic through collaboration with our innovative customers!”

Winners of the Singapore FinTech Festival Global FinTech Awards 2022 will be announced this week on November 3rd.
