In what may be a surprise move by the WBA it has mandated Anthony Joshua the current WBA Champion to either defend his title with dreaded Alexander Povetkin  in September 2018 or he may be stripped off his belt as the Champion.

Eddie Hearn’s the promoter and manager for Anthony Joshua said on ESPN he had held down the fight until he could finish the deal with the current WBC Deontay Wilder from United States of America.

Deontay said he was disappointed but still hopeful the fight that will for the first time give millions of Dollars would have to wait till April 2019 instead. His contract with Eddie was $15m out of the $50m he asked for to fight in United Kingdom.
