Iran-EU trade up 6% in 9 months

IranNEWsZENTS TEHRAN – Trade value between Iran and the European Union member states amounted to €5.597 billion in the first nine months of 2015, rising 6 percent from €5.296 billion in the same period of time in 2014.

 EU exported €4.7 billion worth of products to Iran from January to September this year, showing 3 percent growth from €4.56 billion in the nine-month period last year.

EU’s imports from Iran stood at €897 million in the first nine months of 2015, with 21 percent rise from €736 million in the same period of time in 2014.

In comparison with the nine-month period of the previous year, the growth of EU’s imports from Iran was 7 times more than the growth of its exports to the country in the first nine months of the current year.

Iran-EU trade rose 20 percent in 2014 from 2013, while it had dropped 47 percent in 2013 compared to its preceding year.
